Re: her not thanking him at the '97 Globes: and you can totally see her (mentally) go "aw crap" (or knowing her, "aw fucking fuckity fuckballs") when the camera's on her as he thanks HER in his speech immediately afterwards. (As I'm sure you know already, being the esteemed scholar of Davidandgillianology that you are.) Poor swiss-cheese-brain Gillian. Of course then at the Emmys, she just decided to change it up, so it was not forgetful so much as ill-advised and self-sabotaging. D'oh.

Heee, I was going to mention that but I felt like I should rustle up the video along with and I was multitasking too fiercely to go to the trouble. I love how as soon as he thanks her, she sort of turns around partway and is so obviously kicking herself.

Congratulatory kissing occurred at both these events, however, so it’s not like they weren’t happy for each other.
