Dean Haglund via Frank on Chris and XF3
So basically Dean Haglund, better known as Langley, begins by stating that FOX is not to blame. He continues saying the main reason is that Chris Carter is not into it at the moment, he has not had the time or muse on writing XF3.
He tells us that Frank Spotnitz did claim “That if Chris wanted there to be a 3rd X Files, there would already BE a 3rd X Files.” Which leaves a sense of thinking there won’t be one.
Dean continues by claiming, that more so he believes there still hasn’t been a 3rd film, because Carter would like to have a better story line than that of XF2 to which fans did not compel to much. He continues by stating about Chris Carter’s reasons for not have XF3 yet saying, “Well, I don’t know…I don’t think it’s about money, it’s more about having a compelling story[…] Chris Carter’s heart needs be into it.”
